Ingredients: Menstruum blend (grain alcohol, water), usnea spp.

Old man’s beard is a charming lichen found in hardwood forests all over the Northern hemisphere and used in many cultures. Here, it seems to prefer tulip poplar trees, growing high in the branches. Like many lichens, the presences of large usnea populations can be a positive air-quality indicator. We only harvest lichen that has freshly fallen to the ground, where it will not be able to continue to grow.
